Our Story
urSpin was founded in 2006 by a diverse group of five friends in El Segundo, California. Our knowledge and skills could not be more different: Robb is the visionary, Dan is the artist, Daryl is the organizer, Kevin is the “techie”, and Mike is the "people person”. The one thing we knew was that if all five of us agreed on an idea, it would not only be a miracle, it would be something that people would use.
After weeks of deliberating, debating and arguing into the wee hours of the morning over pizzas and beer, we finally agreed that whatever we came up with had to meet five criteria:
- Make a difference in peoples’ lives
- Simple and fun
- Innovative
- Customizable
- Free
Two whiteboards and about 20 markers later the idea of urSpin was born. Our entire team is passionate about empowering users to take back control of their online lives and believe that urSpin is the solution. Most importantly, behind the Founders stands the backbone of our organization - an amazingly competent group of people who are dedicated to taking the urSpin vision into reality and beyond.
